Im the daughter of Gudrun Dubo, who paints in her free time. My interest in painting was sparked by trips into nature with her. Among other things, my mother took me to a river near Grimma when I was 12 years old. It was a profound and fascinating experience to be able to paint in nature in the tall grass with my mother's oil paints. These trips, among others, ultimately led me to begin training as a graphic designer. After graduating from high school, I attended the Best-Sabel educational studio for graphic design and graduated with a degree in graphic design.
After a long illness, the effects of which I still feel today, I began painting again in 2010.
I find inspiration in many areas: nature, the city, science, society. And I constantly move between forest and city. This, like my art, is vital to me.
Michael Hegewald is one of my teachers, who taught me the basics of painting. This was followed by further training and courses in painting with Ellena Olsen and Rasema Santic.

And above all, self-taught in my Berlin studio. And after forays into nature on the Baltic Sea.

Already fascinated by the properties of cardboard and paper in my childhood and youth (I built shoebox cities, among other things), I returned to working with paper and developed the KQ technique. It was exciting, exploratory and playful. I apply the acrylic paint directly from the tube to the paper. Then I crumple it and open it again. After a brief initial folding phase, I later moved on to crumpling the paper.

- KQ pictures pose puzzles and challenge interpretation
-- to be faced with something that cannot be fully explained

- Die KQ Kunstwerke geben Rätsel auf und fordern zur Deutung heraus

-vor etwas stehen, das man nicht restlos erklären kann
